The Dangers of Money

There is a danger in bringing money into a poor environment. Many books have been written on the subject (When Helping Hurts), and in non-profit circles a conversation about this very topic is underway. The conversation is looking at a very shocking reality; oftentimes when Americans bring money into a depressed economic environment, we bring as much pain as we bring help. Dependance, jealousy, dishonesty, and tension can follow very closely.

2nd Generation Missionary

I am an awed man this day. My son in the Faith, David Livingstone, just got back from his first missionary journey. It is an incredible story, but God opened some doors for David, and he was able to meet some people going to Taiwan to preach the gospel. David was able to go for free, and went. This is the testimony of his work. I will write about what this means later. In the meantime, enjoy what God is doing around the world. -nesto

A Closed Door

Angie and I have been trying to get into India since we were kicked out back in January of 2010. The first round of visa applications was awful. For 10 months the Indian Embassy looked over our application. I received their answer as my wife was in labor, giving birth to our first child. Lina was about to come into the world, and my phone rang. I looked down and saw the crazy number, and I knew. On a side note, Angie had already issued a warning. She told me that if India called while she was in labor, she didn't want to know about it. Now, this was one of those worst case scenario jokes. Like "wouldn't be stupid if..." There was no way that could happen. She made that joke when she was only 4 months pregnant.

Oh, it is a heart touching story.Here is a old woman in my village. She is about 85 years. She has every one but she is a orphan. She had a only one son and he died year ago with HIV. This old woman has daughter in law, grand sons, grand daughters and relatives. But no one is taking care of her. She is member of my church. She have been begging on street for food.

Today, I am bringing praise this praise report to you to praise and glorify His name along with me. Last week, we went to a Hindu village in the part of my outreach ministry. There are around 500 houses and 2000 population is there. I and my team (10 more members) went to this village.

Often, when visiting my wife's family, I would go hide out in my room and just try to endure the festivities. I have been this way since I was a boy. And I thought it would never change...

Pastor Raju - A Son of Thunder

I have a friend who is a pastor. He is pastor Raju. He has been serving the Lord from more than 15 years. He planted churches in different villages. He led Hindus to Christ. And does not have a strong building. He has been praying for strong building.
